Tough weekend at the 2019 Indy Invite played at Indianapolis World Sports Park. Fishers Baja suffered two close losses in pool play against nationally-ranked competition, including a controversial ending on universe point in one game.
Wrapping up pool play at 2-2, Baja entered the bracket fighting for 9th place. But injuries and bad weather contributed to a disappointing 16th place finish.
One bright spot was senior Eric Hoy being named to the All-Tournament Team in Ultiworld’s 2019 Indy Invite Tournament Recap:
Eric Hoy (Fishers) established himself as a dominant downfield option early. Hoy, both as a deep cutter and as a looming deep in the Fishers zone, was virtually unbeatable in the air for much of the day on Saturday.
