Players and parents gathered at Holland Park on a beautiful summer evening in mid-July to mark the official end of the 2019-20 season. Though it was great to see everyone, the annual end-of-season party certainly had a different feel this year.

Fishers Baja players and their families approached the Spring 2020 season with great anticipation. Following a successful 2019 season that included the team’s first Indiana HS State Championship, the roster featured 7 returning seniors from that championship team plus 5 senior rookies, along with 3 returning underclassmen and additional rookies. The sky was the limit, and everyone was looking forward to competing in-state and out.

In the first tournament of the 2019-20 season, Fishers Baja recorded an impressive 2nd place finish against much more experienced college and club teams in a one-day tournament hosted by Butler University on October 12th.

Fishers Baja was well represented at the 2019 Indiana Ultimate All-Star Game played at Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, IN on June 22nd. Named to the Light Team were Eric Hoy, Jake Beaver, and Ryan Clase, with Andrew Sin, David Woods, and Lance Marshall named to the Dark Team. Unfortunately, Ryan was unable to attend.

At their June 17th meeting at City Hall, the Fishers City Council officially recognized Fishers Baja for winning the 2019 Indiana Boy’s Ultimate State Championship. Members of the team received a Community Achievement Award certificate and a hearty round of applause.

Players, parents, and Coach Schwartz gathered on June 7th to celebrate the outstanding 2018-19 season and the club’s first Indiana State Championship. It was noted that Fishers Baja placed 1st in all three of the Indiana-only outdoor tournaments held during the 2018-19 season. Congratulations Baja, great job!
